I scored much lesser score in cat as compared to my mocks. Everyone was saying like you will get more marks than your mocks.. My last two mock scores were 64 and 61 and my cat scaled score was 45.xx(77.xx%ile). I belong to NC-OBC and had a decent profile so i got CAP call. Should i go for new/baby iims or should i try again? My profile--10th/12th/grad-- 9.4/84.6%/7.31 work ex 19 months

Yaar I used to score consistently in high 90s in mocks still cat didn't go well...don't believe in mocks..mocks are just a way to prepare no body knows if cat will go as per his/her strength...right now you have just got call...1st convert it..(.conversion is going to be challenging this percentileto be honest)..then think about leaving depending upon your strength..even people who are getting 99 percentile consistently in mocks do worse in cat..

Appreciate that you have got a call at such a low percentile....convert it....then think..

Hey you cleared cap so it makes complete sense to pursue the colleges that you are eligible for, CAT is such a unstable exam there is no gurantee that you can do better next year, plus a lot of these colleges have amazing packages and a better reputation than 95+ mba colleges in India. You should sit down and prioritize what you want, make sure if you decide to wait one more year you are willing to face the scenario where you might not clear CAT again. Talk to your friends and family but try to understand the risk involved. Best of luck.

CAT is getting tough every year. Also one needs to be closing in on 95+ percentiles on mocks before giving CAT

mba entrances are unpredictable. join whatever you are getting. wasting whole year does not make any sense. instead of wasting next whole year in CAT preparation put same efforts in college studies and you will come out with flying colors
