I left my job for CAT 2025 in september last year but CAT didn't go well as well as OMETS, I am planning to give CAT 26 a shot but I don't have a job, trying to find one but there are no opportunities
my profile is : 8/7/7 OBC engineering male with 2 years of work ex
if I drop this year I believe a gap of 1.4 years after 2 years working won't look good ( need advice on this ) and also if I do plan to take a drop year, how will affect my chances in interviews and placements as well considering I get a good CAT score this time

Hey Jay, honestly your situation is still manageable a 1–1.5 year gap is not a big issue if you can justify it well. With your profile (8/7/7, OBC, 2 yrs work ex), you can still get good colleges if you score 98.5–99+ (and 99.5+ opens even better doors). But still i would say keep searching for a job and keep your consistent prep going along with it. ALL THE BEST
