i joined a organisation in 2018 and I was 2 year in assistant engineer trainee and become assistant manager. can anyone tell does cat accept trainee as work experience because if it accept then gap year will be 5.

yes it is an work experience, you must be training for a role where you must also be getting paid. If all these cases suffice, then it is considered as a work experience.
