To be honest, your CAT score isn't in your hand no matter how hard you study. Last year, I got 79 percentile with 27 in RC, 14 in lrdi and 0.1 in quants and these are scaled score. This year, I got 22 in RC, 11 in lrdi and 7 in quants with most dedicated preparation. My exam center can share 40-50% of the blame for abysmal performance this year due to their mismanagement in allotment of seat in the center as well as frequent disturbances during the exam. Don't beat yourself, your score doesn't depend only on preparation, some level of luck is also involved.

Don't feel sad brother, I have been writing CAT since 2019, and I scored around 60 %ile. I took it again in 2020, and 2021(while working) and I got 85.6, and 88.3 percentile respectively...it didn't bother me much because I had work pressure...Then I took a gap year in 2022 and attempted again...this time I was pretty sure that I would be getting at least above 95%ile, even in IMS and time mocks I was scoring around 90%ile average...but on the exam day, I got panicked a lot and exam staff disturbed me few times...so, even this year CAT I screwed up and ended up getting 54 which is less than my last year's score and I might get lesser percentile than last year....you are in a much better position than me. If this was your 1st or 2nd attempt, you still have a chance to try your best and write it again....but keep in mind that some amount of luck matters in this exam..all the best...

Well.. same here mate , I studied consistently for past 6-7 months and I had even stopped going out much to focus more on cat prep but still even after putting all the effort , I share the same score with you. I messed up badly during the exam .

dont let it get to you many of us didnt get the result we were expecting, focus on omets buddy , really good colleges are still waiting for you better than most of the iims for that matter, pick yourself up and study hard its easier said than done IK but whoever does this has better chances at cracking a good bschool which at anyday is better than appearing for cat 23, all the best!!!

I would concur with what Suvrath has said, people ignore the element of luck. Of course, the better prepared you are the less likely is the element of luck going to affect you but when the stakes are high, anything can happen. One bad set selection can throw you off no matter how many mocks you have given.
