I have really lost motivation to study for cat like right now. Any suggestions how to over come this? I have completed 30 to 40 percent of the cracku video batch portions only! My mock scores are pathetic as well. Does any one face this issue?

Hi Pranov. Every student faces this problem at some point in time during his/her preparation. Some face it early during their preparation, while some face it late. However, there is not much to worry about. There is still about a month and a half left for CAT, and this amount of time in itself should be enough for someone to ace the examination. You have already covered approximately 40% of the syllabus, which is a good thing. If you discontinue your preparation now, you wouldn't be doing anything fruitful in the next month or two, hence there is nothing to lose. On the other hand, if you try to cover this last lap of your preparation by completing the remaining videos, and preparing a good strategy for the examination, you actually stand the chance of achieving a lot. As far as mock scores are concerned, do not take them personally. While mocks are the only means to fine-tune our preparation, they do have a negative impact as well. Consistent low scores in mocks may demotivate us to the extent that we often consider ending our preparation at its very last stage. However, if you can push a little harder, become aware of why you are not scoring in mocks, and work on the requisite concepts and strategy, you will notice a gradual, but huge improvement in your performances. It is completely on you as to how to look at your mock scores. Any time you feel like dropping your preparation, remember that all the efforts that you have put in till now will be of no use if you give up at this point. Do not fear the consequences of the exam results, focus more on the preparation and try to give your best. Wish you all the best!
