I am not exactly strong in the quant section and not great with speed too. algebra and modern math is not my stron suit. How many questions should i attempt in this section to get a good 95+ % in CAT considering i usually score fairly well in varc and dilr?

Hey I was just doing the same analysis and I found that suppose there are 24,22,24 questions in varc,dilr,quant respectively and u attempt 12,11,5 questions ensuring that all of them are correct,u score 95 %ile ..which means u have to score well in atleast 2 of them for the %ile to suffice the 3rd one... hope u can adjust the rest acc. to u

Does attempting atleast 9-10 correct questions suffice?

Hi Generally scoring marks equal to one third of the total marks of paper or 36-37% of total marks is required to score a 95 percentile in CAT as per past year trends.

last year in CAT i attempted 6 and got 83 percentile in QA section (slot 1)
