Getting into IIMs include many factors like CAT score, Acads(X, XII, Grad scores), Work Experience. It also depends on your WAT & PI. Many colleges give weights for Acads. For example, IIM A and B give more emphasis on Acads. But IIM C gives relatively less importance for Acads. There are some colleges like FMS, XLRI which are on par with IIM A, B, C. They do not stress much on Acads.
Acads are not in our control, but what's in our control is getting a good CAT score. So, it's better if you concentrate on CAT as all other factors are not under your control.
