trying to mug up words is lesser efficient.Don't note the word alone, instead form a random passage of your own based on all new words you studied that day. For ex. Vague, debilitate, waffle. I vaguely remember the content but waffled in front of crowd. It debilitated my confidence. End of the day recollect your self made passage. Effective method. Evert day I jot down 70 words and make funny passage. Trust me I remember all words by next day.
