Secondly, how much weightage does the percentile have in overall selection/composite score (is it relative weightage like 90%ile gets 5 marks and 100% gets 10 marks or is it direct conversion like 90%=9 marks and 100%ile =10 marks)

The higher percentiles mentioned in our videos are usually safer targets. Even if a profile may have received a call at 93%ile, targeting 98%ile+ gives you a better chance of getting the call and also helps with the final selection, where CAT score can carry significant weight.

The CAT percentile weightage varies by college for example, it is 33% for the JAP IIMs and 50% for FMS. So percentile is not converted into composite marks using one fixed formula across colleges.
