Hi Divyam. I understand your concern and will try to help. But please note that your main focus should be on stabilising the percentiles instead of the scores. My answer will focus on that since a raw score of 35 can fetch 99 percentile in one mock and might not be enough for even 90 percentile in another.
That being said, the main problem here would be gauging the difficulty level. In quants it is fairly easy to do, check how much time the questions require, what concept depth do they check, and if the question twisted in any manner. In VARC, it is difficult to do so, as sometimes we easily attempt all the questions and later find that the accuracy is abysmal. To remedy this, mark the questions as easy/medium/difficult during the mock on a sheet of paper, and then later check whether you were able to gauge it correctly.
Now comes the important part. The first step is to achieve a threshold score. Check how much you score in a difficult mock, say 36. Go through the paper, to attempt 12-13 questions with almost full accuracy. In this round, you will be able to gauge the difficulty level clearly, since you have gone through all the questions once. Now, if the paper feels easy-moderate, attempt more questions quickly but calmly. If the paper seems difficult, again look for accuracy instead of more attempts. Keep on coming back in round till you feel that you have made enough attempts concerning the difficulty level. This should stabilize the percentile you score with good precision. Hope this helps.
