hello , this is not technical question , i have covered and practiced almost entire syllabus but , am hesitating to take mocks, i tell myself i'll take them once i perfect this and that, anybody else facing such problem and any advise ?

The syllabus cannot be completed, you'll only know that once you try out a mock and then realize things you have forgotten since the time you last did them, I guess we all face this problem only to realize that there is so much to do. To ease things, try out sectionals of each section and know it yourself.

Getting it correct and getting it correct under time pressure are two different ball games.
I had a similar perfectionist mindset and prepared it like JEE (in which I was successful).
Gave my first mock, then a second one, then a couple of sectionals, and scored poor in all. Reality struck hard.
Realized I was practicing for ODI instead of a T20.<br>It took a lot of mocks and sectionals to bring the monster(time)under control, still in the process of taming it.
I realized that I have learned more in one month(October, when I started giving mocks) than several months of Quant, LDRI, and VA practice.
So, my suggestion is, give at least 10 sectional tests for each( so 30 in total) and give at least 6-7 mocks.
Give the easiest mock in the lot, especially free mocks in Cracku(plus Dashcats 1 and 11), CL, IMS, previous CAT papers '17 to '19, and official one. That will be enough. Make sure you don't give hard mocks, which can demotivate you!

Sorry to say this but all ur efforts will go to waste if u do not take any mock as taking mocks is crucial in determining a strategy for ur exam day and analysing all the mistakes u make under time pressure so that u can rectify them.I suggest u take atleast 8-10 mocks before exam day and analyse them very well.
