Accuracy During Attempt vs. Analysis

Hello, so there's this idk problem i have been facing recently where during the actual VARC sectional or mock attempt i don't seem to understand the passage very well and even the options seem alien at times, but when analyzing the same attempt without even re-reading the passage attempting the ones i did not attempt or the ones i got wrong I'm able to get it right most of the times. I don't exactly understand what might be causing this. May i please know what I might be doing wrong and/or how can I fix this?
Thank you. Regards

Hi Zain, this usually happens when exam pressure and the time limit affect your comprehension and decision-making. Since you're able to solve the same questions during analysis, your understanding may not be the main issue. Try solving a few RCs under timed conditions without constantly checking the clock, and focus on understanding the author's main argument, tone and the purpose of each paragraph.

When analyzing mocks, check whether you misunderstood the passage, rushed through the options or changed your reasoning because of time pressure. Also, don't force yourself to attempt every RC choose passages you can understand comfortably. The goal is to replicate your calm analysis mindset during the actual test, so practice timed sets consistently and gradually build confidence.

Hope this helps!
