Hello, I have applied to some colleges like IMT, IMI which accept both XAT and CAT scores. I am expecting 95+ percentile in CAT. By any chance if I score low in XAT, will it have any effect on the selection or not?

no affect. there could be one question in interview that why is your xat score low. but this can be justified.
