This answer seems to be lengthy. Just 3 points.
1. Regular reading of news papers is the must for clearing general awareness. I suggest 'The Hindu' above all. If you are already reading the Hindu, make sure you take notes on the affairs. Just make out the crux of the news only. Already having notes...? Just keep on reading and taking notes. Do revise them repeatedly at least 20 times. This is very very crucial for learning dynamic portion of general awareness.
2. Since it is the peak time, one of the two most useful ideas is going through the Current Affairs collections from online sources for the past 10 months. Don't try to remember all the things from those collections. Just go through the facts and repeat at least 5 times. Don't spend time for note making. The online sources themselves give the crux of the news only.
More importantly, Just follow only one Current Affairs collection. Don't make it complicated with more number of sources.
3. The other idea is to go through the previous year question papers (past 5 years is enough) and practising mock tests (at least 3). The previous year question papers are useful to know the way of questions asked from the static portion of general awareness and the mock tests are very much useful to get an idea of the dynamic questions based on the recent current affairs.
I think this will help you a lot.
All the best to you and Good day.
