Gopi purchased 35 erasers and some sharpeners. The price of a sharpener is twice that of an eraser. Instead he had bought as many sharpeners as the number of erasers that he bought and vice versa, his total expenditure would have been 20% more. How many sharpeners did he buy?

It is given, s = 2e
1.2(35e+ys) = 35s+ye
Substituting s = 2e, we get
210 + 12y = 350 + 5y
7y = 140
y = 20
