Fresh grapes have 75% water and the rest is pulp. During the process of drying, it was found that at a particular stage it contained 50% water by weight. What is the percentage reduction in the weight of the original quantity of fresh grapes?

Hi,
Let's assume initially we had 200 gm of grapes. So, 50 gm is pulp and 150 gm is water. At some stage, water percentage was only 50% of the weight. This also means that the other 50% is pulp.
So, water got reduced to 50gm or 100gm reduction. Thus, percentage reduction is 66%.
