Anil makes profit of 30% by selling in article at rupees 52 per quintal if he sells the article at rupees 60 per quintal what is his profit percent on the whole investment

39.33% Answer 30% profit on 52 rupees per quintal, CP of one quintal= 52-(30% of 52)=36.4; profit on selling per quintal at 60= 60-CP= 23.6 profit%= 23.6/60*100=39.33%

Let C.P.= rupees x/quintal. Profit of 30%, then S.P. = 1.3x = 52 Therefore, C.P. = x = 40 Now if S.P. = rupees 60/quintal. Then, Profit = 60-40 = 20 Profit % = (20/40)*100 = 50%.
