anand and bala started from towns P and q simultaneosly towards Q and p respectively .after 6 hrs ,they crossed each other at town R .after that .anand took 5hr more to reach his destination than bala .find the sum of the times taken by them to reach their destination from R (in hrs) a)15 b)11 c)13 d)17

Let Bala takes x hours to reach after crossing each other. So Anand takes x+5 hours
36 = x*(x+5)
x^2+5x -36 = 0
x = -9, 4
x can't be negative so x = 4. So Anand takes 9 hours. Sum = 9+4 =13 Hrs.
