the answer depends on the options, but I'm thinking the answer will be "divisible by 12" Any prime p can be written as 6n-1 or 6n+1 Case 1: 6p+1 (6p+1)^2 - 1^2 =(6p+2)(6p) = 12(3p+1)(p) likewise, (6p-1)^2 - 1 = 12(3p-1)(p) Both of these are divisble by 12
