A man purchased 120kg of sugar and was forced to sell it at a loss equal to selling price of 30kg of sugar. if he purchased each kg of sugar for rs.15, then at what price(in rs.) did he sell each kg of sugar?

Total cost price for the man = 120*15 = 1800. Now let the selling price be x then we have
120x = 1800 - 30x
=> 150x = 1800
=> x = 12
Hence he must have sold the sugar at rs 12 per kg.

Loss = CP - SP => 30* sp = 1800 - 120*sp => sp = 1800/150 = 12 . hence Selling price per kg = 12.
