2 men can do a piece of work in 6 days. If one finishes the work by himself in 16 days less than the other one, in how much time does the slower one finish the work?

one person takes x days , slower one takes x+16 days and it is given together they take 6 days so adding one day work of both of them and equating to one day work of working them together, 1/x + 1/x+16= 1/6 => x= 8, so answer is x+16 = 8+16 = 24 days answer.
