Binomial Coefficient

## Formula

$${}^nC_r=\frac{n!}{r!(n-r)!}$$

Also:

$${}^nC_r={}^nC_{n-r}$$

## Usage

- Used to calculate the numerical coefficients appearing in binomial expansions.

Question 1

The ratio of the coefficient of $$x^9$$ to the term independent of $$x$$ in the expansion of $$\left(x+\frac3{x^2}\right)^{12}$$ is:

Question 2

If the coefficient of $$x^{9}$$ in the expansion of $$\left(x^2+\frac1x\right)^{12}$$ is equal to the coefficient of $$x^5$$ in the expansion of $$\left(1+x\right)^n,$$ then the value of $$n$$ is:

Question 3

Find the degree of the polynomial expression given by:

$$(x^2 - 3 + (1 - x^4)^{\frac{1}{2}})^6 + (x^2 - 3 - (1 - x^4)^{\frac{1}{2}})^6$$
