For:

the $$(r+1)$$th term is:

$$T_{r+1}={}^nC_r(ax)^{n-r}b^r$$

For:

$$(a+bx)^n$$

the $(r+1)$th term is:

$$T_{r+1}={}^nC_r a^{n-r}(bx)^r$$
