How is the FMS Delhi Selection Criteria different from IIMs?
The FMS Delhi selection criteria differ from the selection criteria of IIM colleges. While a high CAT score is necessary for admission IIMs, FMS places only 50% weight on the CAT score. Further, IIMs prefer candidates with strong academic records whereas FMS institute gives more importance to the interview performance.
FMS allocates full marks to students with 75% or more marks in classes X and XII, regardless of overall academic record. While IIMs require a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in a bachelor's degree, FMS has inclusive selection criteria allowing students with low scores in classes 10th and 12th to apply. Lastly, FMS gives 5 extra marks to female aspirants appearing for the interview rounds.
