Rarely Tested

Principle: Separates two or more miscible liquids with small differences in boiling points ($$< 25\text{ K}$$) using a fractionating column to provide multiple condensation-vaporization cycles.

Examples: Separation of crude oil fractions, acetone ($$\text{b.p. } 329\text{K}$$) and methyl alcohol ($$\text{b.p. } 338\text{ K}$$).
