How to Register for NSEP 2026?

NSEP registration 2026 can be completed through a registered examination centre or through individual online enrolment.

Registration Through an NSE Centre

Students can ask their school or college whether it is a registered NSE centre. If it is registered, the student can submit the required details and pay the NSEP registration fee through the centre in-charge.

If the studentโ€™s own institution is not registered, the student may enrol through another nearby registered school or college. The list of NSEP exam centres is expected to be available on the IAPT website when student enrolment begins.

Individual Online Registration

Students can also register individually through the official IAPT enrolment portal. The basic process is:

  1. Visit the official IAPT website after registration opens.
  2. Open the NSE 2026 student enrolment link.
  3. Create or access the student login.
  4. Enter personal, academic and contact information.
  5. Select NSEP as the examination subject.
  6. Choose the required paper language and available exam centre.
  7. Check every entry before submission.
  8. Pay the โ‚น300 NSEP application fee through the available payment method.
  9. Save the registration confirmation and payment receipt.

The exact portal screens and upload requirements should be checked when the 2026 student enrolment link becomes active.

Documents and Details Required for NSEP Registration

  • Date of birth
  • Class and school details
  • School address and state
  • Residential address with PIN code

What Happens After NSEP Registration 2026?

After successful registration, candidates should save their application confirmation and fee receipt. Students enrolled through a school should remain in contact with the center in-charge for their roll number and hall ticket.

According to the official IAPT booklet, hall tickets and student lists are sent to registered centres approximately two weeks before the examination. The center in-charge prints and attests the hall ticket with the institutionโ€™s seal. Individually registered students should monitor their student login and official announcements for hall-ticket instructions.

On the examination day, students must carry their NSEP admit card and valid identity proof. NSEP 2026 will be conducted on November 22 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the allotted centre.

After the examination, candidates can access their scorecards and check whether they have qualified for INPhO 2027.

Common Mistakes to Avoid During NSEP Registration 2026

Even a small mistake in the NSEP application form can create problems with the hall ticket or eligibility verification. Students should complete the form early, review every detail carefully and confirm that the registration fee has been paid successfully.

  • Waiting until the NSEP registration last date
  • Entering a name or date of birth that does not match school records
  • Applying for NSEP and NSEJS in the same year
  • Selecting the wrong examination subject or question-paper language
  • Providing an inactive email address or mobile number
  • Choosing an incorrect school state or examination centre
  • Uploading unclear documents or files in an unsupported format
  • Closing the payment page before receiving confirmation
  • Forgetting to save the application form and fee receipt
  • Assuming the application is complete without checking the registration status
  • Missing the official correction window or other registration updates
