Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) 2026 will be the first step in the mathematical Olympiad program of India. Students who qualify for the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) are eligible to appear for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO), and then they can proceed to the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) and the IMO process. According to the official notification, the IOQM Exam Date 2026 will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026. This examination will be organised in offline mode at various exam centres in India. Candidates can enrol for this examination via the authorised exam centre or via the online registration portal.

IOQM 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the IOQM exam in 2026, the candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria set forth by the Mathematics Teachers' Association (India) [MTA(I)] and the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). School Boards

Students from CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, NIOS, IB, IGCSE, and other recognized boards may apply if they satisfy the eligibility conditions.

Previous Qualification

Qualifying in previous Olympiad stages is not required to appear for IOQM.

IOQM serves as the first stage of the Indian Mathematical Olympiad programme leading to RMO, INMO, and IMO selection.

IOQM 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates need to take care of everything on the day of the examination.

Before the Exam

  • Download and print out the hall ticket.
