Properties of Quadrilaterals

Important

Parallelogram:
1. Opposite sides are equal and parallel.
2. Opposite angles are equal.
3. Adjacent angles are supplementary.
4. Diagonals bisect each other.

Rhombus:
1. A parallelogram with all sides equal.
2. Opposite angles are equal.
3. Diagonals are perpendicular and bisect each other.
4. Diagonals are not equal.

Rectangle:
1. A parallelogram with all angles equal to 90°.
2. Opposite sides are equal and parallel.
3. Diagonals are equal in length and bisect each other.

Square:
1. A quadrilateral with all sides equal and all angles equal to 90°.
2. Diagonals are equal, perpendicular, and bisect each other.

Kite:
1. A quadrilateral with two pairs of adjacent equal sides.
2. One pair of opposite angles is equal.
3. Diagonals are perpendicular.
4. The longer diagonal bisects the shorter diagonal.
