Hyperbola from a Pair of Intersecting Asymptotes

If the asymptotes are represented by:

$$L_1=0,\quad L_2=0$$

then a hyperbola having these asymptotes has the form:

$$L_1L_2=\lambda$$

where $$\lambda$$ is a non-zero constant.

Usage

- Used to construct a hyperbola when its asymptotes and one additional condition are known.
