## Formula

$$\frac{{}^nC_{r+1}}{{}^nC_r}=\frac{n-r}{r+1}$$

The terms increase while:

$$\frac{n-r}{r+1}>1$$

and decrease when:

$$\frac{n-r}{r+1}<1$$

## Usage

- Used to determine the increasing/decreasing behaviour of binomial coefficients and locate the greatest term.
