$$A \cap B = \{ x \mid x \in A \mathrm{ and } x \in B \}$$
$$A - B = \{ x \mid x \in A \mathrm{ and } x \notin B \}$$
Complement: $$A^c = \{ x \mid x \notin A \}$$ (relative to universal set)
