Let the ratio in which 40% acid be mixed with that of 60% acid = $$x:y$$

According to ques,

=> $$40x+60y=49(x+y)$$

=> $$40x+60y=49x+49y$$

=> $$49x-40x=60y-49y$$

=> $$9x=11y$$

=> $$\frac{x}{y}=\frac{11}{9}$$

$$\therefore$$ Required ratio = 11 : 9
