If the average of 46, x, 30, 36, 59, 82, 68 and 94 is 56.5, then what is the value of x?
Solution
Sum of numbers = $$46+x+30+36+59+82+68+94=(x+415)$$
Average of 8 numbers = $$\frac{(x+415)}{8}=56.5$$
=> $$x+415=56.5\times8$$
=> $$x=452-415=37$$
=> Ans - (B)
