PGDM (BM - International Specialization) and Why is the XLRI cutoff 2026 important? The XLRI cutoff 2026 is a crucial parameter that helps potential students estimate their chances of selection based on their XAT 2026 scores.
In this blog, we have analyzed the recently released PDF by XLRI comprising the section-wise and overall cutoffs for PGDM admissions 2026. As per historical trends, the XLRI PGDM BM cutoff 2026 remains consistent at 94+ for Male Engineer and Non-Engineer category. Female Engineer category XLRI cutoffs have dropped by 5-6 points in both the PGDM BM and PGDM HRM category. Third Gender category cutoffs have also dropped in 2026.
XLRI Program-Wise Cut Off 2026
PGDM BM and PGDM HRM program cut-offs 2026 have been released, XLRI has already started calling potential candidates who clear the cutoffs for respective programmes. The cutoffs released by XLRI are section-wise and overall. Refer to the XLRI program-wise cutoff 2026 for XLRI BM and XLRI HRM. Most students find it difficult to clear the sectional cutoffs as DM and VALR section-wise cutoffs are 82+ for Engineer and Non-engineer Male gender category.
XLRI BM Cutoff 2026
XLRI has released its PGDM BM cutoff 2026. The official link for XLRI BM cutoff 2026 is available on the XLRI website. Cutoffs for both XLRI BM and BM - International are the same. Cutoffs are minimum scores one must clear to be eligible for the GD PI process. Students may expect XLRI BM calls based on their XAT sectional and overall cutoffs. Least marks you need to receive the call are
Stream & Gender | QADI | VALR | DM | Overall |
EM (Engineer Male) | ≥82 | ≥82 | ≥82 | ≥94 |
EF (Engineer Female) | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥88 |
ETG (Engineer Third Gender) | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥88 |
NEM (Non-engineer Male) | ≥82 | ≥82 | ≥82 | ≥94 |
NEF (Non-engineer Female) | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥88 |
NETG (Non-engineer Third Gender) | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥78 | ≥88 |
XLRI HRM Cutoff 2026
HRM cutoffs for the female and third gender have fallen this year. Students may expect to receive a call at sectional cutoffs slightly below the expected cutoff also. XLRI may make GD PI calls to the shortlisted students in batches. If you have not yet received the call and you clear the below mentioned cutoffs, it is best to wait for the subsequent calls. The range of minimum marks required to be eligible for XLRI HRM cutoff 2026 are as follows.
Stream & Gender | QADI | VALR | DM | Overall |
EM (Engineer Male) | ≥80 | ≥87 | ≥85 | ≥92 |
EF (Engineer Female) | ≥70 | ≥82 | ≥78 | ≥87 |
ETG (Engineer Third Gender) | ≥70 | ≥82 | ≥78 | ≥87 |
NEM (Non-engineer Male) | ≥73 | ≥87 | ≥85 | ≥90 |
NEF (Non-engineer Female) | ≥65 | ≥82 | ≥78 | ≥84 |
NETG (Non-engineer Third Gender) | ≥65 | ≥82 | ≥78 | ≥84 |
XLRI Sectional Cutoff 2026
XLRI has set sectional cutoffs for its PGDM courses in 2026. It means that the candidates who want to enroll must have at least 80+ sectional scores. XAT sections which comprise the sectional cutoff criteria are QADI, VALR and DM section. Students find the VALR and the DM sectional cutoffs difficult to clear. If you have not been able to clear the XAT sectional cutoff 2026 range mentioned below, you may still get the interview call depending on your category, overall cutoff, waitlist movement and other factors.
Category | PGDM BM Sectional Cutoff 2026 | PGDM HRM Sectional Cutoff 2026 |
EM | ≥82 all sections (QADI VALR, & DM) | ≥80 to ≥87 all sections |
EF | ≥78 all sections | ≥70 to ≥82 all sections |
ETG | ≥78 all sections | ≥70 to ≥82 all sections |
NEM | ≥82 all sections | ≥73 to ≥87 all sections |
NEF | ≥78 all sections | ≥65 to ≥82 all sections |
NETG | ≥78 all sections | ≥65 to ≥82 all sections |
XLRI Category-Wise Cutoff 2026
XLRI admission is based on your category. Each category has a different set of sectional cutoffs and overall cutoffs. The highest range of cutoffs are set for the Engineer Male and Non-Engineer Male category. Those who fall within these two categories have the lowest advantage in getting XLRI calls for the GD PI round. Female and Third Gender categories have an advantage in the selection process of XLRI as their cutoffs are lower this year.
Category | Overall BM | Overall HRM | Observation |
EM | ≥94 | ≥92 | Male Engineers need higher marks for BM and overall high marks. |
EF | ≥88 | ≥87 | Female Engineers need much lower marks for BM & HRM. The cutoff difference between BM & HRM is only 1 point. |
ETG | ≥88 | ≥87 | Engineers belonging to the third gender need marks greater than 87-88 percentile. |
NEM | ≥94 | ≥90 | Non-engineer male students need to score high marks to clear the cutoffs (above 90) |
NEF | ≥88 | ≥84 | PGDM BM cutoff for non-engineer females is 4 points higher than PGDM HRM cutoff. |
NETG | ≥88 | ≥84 | Third gender cutoffs for BM are stricter with higher expectations. |

XLRI Cut Off 2026: Conclusion
The XLRI Cut Off 2026 is an important factor in deciding whether a candidate will receive a GD PI call for the PGDM BM and HRM programs. Candidates should aim to score well not only in the overall XAT exam but also in each section, as sectional cutoffs are strictly followed. This year, XLRI has kept higher cutoffs for male engineer and non-engineer candidates, while female and third gender candidates have been given some relaxation.
Understanding the category-wise and program-wise XLRI cutoffs, along with previous year trends, can help aspirants set clear and realistic goals. If your score is close to the cutoff, there is no need to panic, as XLRI usually releases interview calls in multiple rounds based on waitlist movement and available seats.
