The exam will take place in over 70 cities across India at designated test centres and will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The question paper will consist of 95 questions covering Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Knowledge.

Each year, more than 1 lakh candidates appear for XAT. The scores are accepted by over 800 MBA colleges across India. Registration for XAT 2026 will begin in the second week of July 2025. Modes of Payment for XAT 2026 Application Fee

Online Payment Gateway: Payment can be made using VISA or MasterCard credit/debit cards. Candidates with an account in IDBI Bank can also use Net Banking to pay the fee. Please note that American Express cards are not accepted.

Cash Payment: Applicants can pay in cash by visiting the nearest IDBI Bank branch. They must take a printout of the XAT Pay-In-Slip and present it at the bank while making the payment.

Demand Draft (DD): A Demand Draft can be submitted as payment, drawn in favour of ‘XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT, payable at Jamshedpur. The DD must be sent to the following address: XLRI, C. H. Area (East), Jamshedpur – 831001.
