The NMAT notification for 2026 has been released on 1 August 2026, with NMAT registration starting from 20 August 2026. Is NMAT Tougher than CAT?

No, NMAT is generally considered less tough than CAT. CAT has highly conceptual questions and multi-concept questions, and there is negative marking involved in the CAT exam, whereas NMAT questions are generally straightforward and not complex in nature, and there is not negative marking in the NMAT exam. While NMAT is an adaptive and speed-based exam, CAT generally has a higher overall difficulty level, especially in Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.
