Academic Qualification Requirement: To be eligible for MICA’s PGDM (C) and PGDM programs, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 system) or equivalent qualification in any discipline, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Eligibility for Final Year Students: Candidates currently in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or those who have completed their degree but are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. However, they will have to submit particular required documents on a timely basis as stated by the university.

MICA Selection Process 2025: Step-by-Step Guide

MICA's admission process evaluates candidates based on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT, MICAT, and GE & PI. Below is a breakdown of the process:

1. Apply for the Program:

Once you've reviewed the eligibility criteria, you need to apply on the official portal of MICA: For applying the following steps are necessary:

  • Visit the official MICA admissions portal. Further, select your targeted program (PGDM-C / PGDM / Both) and fill out the online application form.
  • Each candidate must have taken at least one of the following exams (MANDATORY):
    • CAT 2024
    • XAT 2025
    • GMAT (2023 onwards)

After receiving your CAT score, XAT Registration No., and GMAT score, make sure to update the details on MICA’s website on or before January 11, 2025.

  • Submit and pay the application fees.

2. MICAT (MICA Admission Test)

The MICAT exam is the next step. It is usually conducted in December and January. All candidates are mandatorily assessed on MICAT, which consists of three sections:

  • Section A: Psychometric Test (Qualifying in nature)
  • The Section B: Descriptive Test (Essay writing, creative writing)
  • Section C: Objective-type test with four sub-sections, these are:
