Government vs Private MBA Colleges: Fee Patterns

  • Government MBA Colleges: Lower application fees, averaging ₹1,000–₹2,000.
  • Private MBA Colleges: Application fees can go up to ₹3,000 for some institutes.
  • Online MBA Programs: Generally ₹500–₹2,000 per form.

MBA College Form Fees

The cost of an MBA degree from a college in India during 2025 is directly dependent on the type of institution and the program to be chosen. Government institutions are the most cost-effective ones, charging only ₹50,000 to ₹3 lakh for the whole MBA program. private institutions have a much wider range, that is from ₹4 lakh up to ₹25 lakh. However, the premier institutions like IIMs and the other top B-schools are asking for ₹18 lakh plus for the entire MBA course, and even charging over ₹25 lakh.

The most costly and the best MBA colleges like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta are going to ask for between ₹25 lakh and ₹27 lakh during the whole duration of the program. Other renowned institutions like XLRI Jamshedpur, SPJIMR Mumbai, and FMS Delhi will take in the range of ₹2 lakh to ₹22 lakh as their fee depending on the program and the campus.

The fee usually consists of tuition but the students are expected to have some money for the above-mentioned items along with their other expenses.
