IIT Guwahati MBA Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates will need to fulfil the following criteria to be eligible to get a shortlisting for admission process at IIT Guwahati:
- A minimum of 3 years bachelors degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks scored (55% in case of reserved category - SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Candidates in their final year can also apply.
- A valid CAT score.

IIT Guwahati MBA Selection process 2025
The selection process for admissions at IIT-G will consist of 2 stages. In stage 1, the profile of the candidate will be evaluated for shortlisting for stage 2 which will consist of a Personal Interview round.

Shortlisting for IIT Guwahati MBA admissions process will be done in stage 1 where candidate's composite score will be calculated based on the score they achieve for different parameter on their profile. Here are the parameters and their weightage for shortlisting for Stage 1 selection process.

CAT Score: Candidate's obtained CAT Score will be divided by the total score and multiplied by 70 to assess candidate's performance in CAT. IIT Guwahati does not explicitly provide any MBA Minimum Cut off for admission to its MBA program.
Gender Diversity: IIT Guwahati will award 10% extra score to non-male applicants.
Work Experience: Work experience will be calculated based on full time work done in months. The following table represents the month wise weightage.

Education Score: IIT Guwahati will calculate composite scores for 12th std, graduation and post graduation ( if any). The institute will not take into account class 10th marks. And the possession of a post graduation degree will get awarded with 3% extra score.
Stage 2: IIM Guwahati Selection Process
The shortlisted candidates from stage 1 will be invited by the institute for a Personal interview round post which the final merit list will be prepared based on the following parameters and their weightage.

IIT Guwahati MBA personal interview: The candidate will have to appear for a personal interview round and this will contain 40% weightage in the final merit list making it equally important as a good CAT score.
IIT Guwahati MBA Reservation Policy

Candidates having a valid 2024 CAT score can apply at IIT Guwahati for their MBA program till Feb 8th, 2025. The selection process will be based on a holistic evaluation of the candidate's profile as the college doesn't specify any cutoffs for CAT.
