Candidates must complete willingness selection, document uploading and IAF-II payment by August 10. August 11 is not an extension of the general reporting deadline. It is available for responding to document-verification queries and resolving payment issues where a valid payment attempt was made before the original deadline. Online reporting applies to candidates who have received a seat. Candidates who have not been allotted a seat in Round 1 do not have to pay IAF-II or upload reporting documents. CSAB Round 1 Online Reporting Checklist for Candidates

Candidates allotted a seat should complete the following checklist well before the deadline:

• Log in through the official CSAB website.
• Download the Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip.
• Check the allotted institute, programme, category and quota.
• Select the appropriate willingness option.
• Upload the required documents if they were not verified successfully in the NIT+ System during JoSAA 2026.

CSAB Seat Acceptance Fee and Payment Process

In CSAB terminology, candidates first paid the Special Round Enrolment Fee, or SREF, during registration. After receiving a seat for the first time, eligible candidates choosing Freeze, Float or Slide must pay the Institute Admission Fee-II, or IAF-II.

IAF-II can be paid using a debit card, credit card, UPI, net banking, e-Challan or CSC. It is mandatory for Freeze, Float and Slide candidates, even if their documents have already been verified.

Candidates who had already secured an NIT+ System seat through JoSAA 2026 by paying both SAF and PAF, classified as Type 6 candidates under the CSAB rules, do not have to pay IAF-II again.

Download the Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip and carefully check the allotted institute and academic programme.

• Freeze: Accept the seat and stop participating in further rounds.

Step 5: Pay IAF-II

Pay the applicable amount through one of the authorised payment methods. Documents will not be verified until the required IAF-II payment is completed.

Step 6: Monitor document verification

Log in regularly after payment. Verification officers may raise queries or request clearer documents. CSAB may not send a separate individual notification, so checking the portal remains the candidate’s responsibility.

Step 7: Check seat-confirmation status

Once the documents and eligibility are verified, the portal will show the seat-confirmation status. Final admission remains subject to physical verification, joining the institute and paying any balance institute fee.

What Happens If You Miss the CSAB Online Reporting Deadline?

Failure to complete all mandatory online reporting steps by August 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM will be treated as rejection of the allotted seat. The seat will be cancelled, and the candidate will not be allowed to participate in CSAB Special Round 2.

OBC-NCL and GEN-EWS certificates must have been issued on or after April 1, 2026, in the prescribed Government of India format. If an original certificate is not in English or Hindi, a duly certified English or Hindi translation is required.
