SIMSREE Mumbai: Overview

SIMSREE is one of the top B-schools in India located at Churchgate, Mumbai. It is named after the then-governor of Bombay, Lord Sydenham of Combe in 1913. SIMSREE was established in 1983. The institute goes by the Sanskrit motto 'Samudyogo hi Vishvajita' meaning Diligent Efforts Conquer the World.

SIMSREE offers a variety of programs in commerce and management. Here's a breakdown of the masters and doctoral programs:

1.Masters of Management Studies (MMS)

SIMSREE offers the Masters of Management Studies (MMS) course, a Two Year Full-Time post graduate degree course affiliated to University of Mumbai, since 1983. SIMSREE offers full time Master's program with a specialisation in Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations and Systems. It gives students a solid foundation in business principles, equipping them for leadership positions in a range of sectors. There are 205 seats for this course. The first semester includes all specializations whereas the students have to select their specialization in the second semester.

2. MFM (Masters of Financial Management)

Masters of Financial Management (MFM) is a three year past-time Masters degree course.

The curriculum emphasises management application while covering all relevant aspects of accounting and finance. This curriculum would be helpful to candidates who have expertise in finance or similar fields including management services, project planning and control, corporate planning, management audit, internal audit, marketing analysis, and economic analysis.

There are 30 seats available.

3. MMM (Masters in Marketing Management)

A three-year, part-time master's programme in marketing management (MMM) is offered by SIMSREE. All associated fields of marketing, including public sector marketing, are included in the curriculum. In order for a marketing executive to advance into top-level general management roles, it aims to develop and integrate the top management viewpoint. A practical background in any of the following fields is required of applicants to this programme: distribution, public relations, advertising, marketing planning, sales management, market research, export marketing, and applied economics.

There are 30 seats available.

4. Ph. D

A PhD programme in management-related areas is available at SIMSREE. Completing the curriculum may need 3 to 5 years.

PhD programmes in management-related fields, including as operations, marketing, finance, and human resources, are available at SIMSREE.

Candidates must hold an MBA or MMS with a 55% aggregate in the open category and a 50% aggregate in the reserved category in order to be eligible for the programme.
