The exam conducting body, XLRI, Jamshedpur, defines the XAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria. Candidates must hold a three-year bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, according to the XAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria. There are no minimum aggregate marks required to fill out the XAT application form, which was released by XLRI on August 5, 2021. The XAT 2022 exam will be held on January 2, 2022.

The XAT 2022 exam is a crucial MBA entrance exam that leads to MBA admissions in 2022 at XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB, TAPMI, XIME, and other 150 MBA colleges in India. XAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the XAT 2022 exam differ depending on the candidate’s nationality, age, education, and programme of study. Before registering for the XAT 2022, candidates must first review the eligibility conditions. If candidates fail to meet any of the requirements, they will be barred from participating in the subsequent admissions stages.

Nationality

  • Candidates having Indian citizenship are eligible to apply for the XAT 2022.
  • NRIs and overseas candidates are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Foreign nationals may apply using their GMAT scores.

Age Limit

  • XLRI has set no upper age limit for the XAT exam.
  • The XAT exam has no upper age limit.

Academic Qualification and Marks

  • The minimum prerequisite is a three-year bachelor’s degree.
  • Students holding a PG degree must enter their PG % rather than their graduation percentage in the application form.
  • Before admittance via XAT, all backlogs must be cleared.
  • There is no limit to how many times you can try.

XAT 2022 Program-Wise Eligibility Criteria

Human Resource Management (HRM)

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute is required.
  • GMAT is an option for NRIs and foreign aspirants.

Business Management (MBA)

  • A three-year bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • GMAT is an option for NRI and foreign-origin students.
  • This curriculum does not require any prior work experience.

General Management programs (PGDM)

  • Bachelor’s degree from any Indian or foreign university having a three-year duration.
  • 5 years of management/supervisory experience is required.
  • Only full-time employees will be considered for job experience. Internships and part-time jobs do not qualify.
  • The organisation must be a well-known private, public, or government entity.
  • The XAT 2022 and GMAT scores will be taken into account.

Part-Time Business Management Program

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of three years of schooling after completing high school (10 + 2) or equivalent.
  • The bachelor’s degree must be from one of the universities established by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures in India, or equivalent qualification from an AICTE-approved institution.
  • This curriculum does not require any prior work experience.

XAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals/ NRI/ PIO

Candidates from the following categories are eligible to take the XAT. They can apply using either the XAT or the GMAT.

    1. NRI: A person is considered “not normally resident/NRI” if any of the following conditions are met: 
    • If they have not been a resident of India for nine out of the ten prior years; or 
    • If they have not been in India for 730 days or more in the previous seven years.
  1. Persons of Indian Origin: “Persons of Indian Origin” (PIO) is defined as a person with foreign citizenship (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who does not have “NRI” status but holds a Foreign Passport at the time of application, consideration for admission, and during the period of his study and he/she or anyone/both of his/her parents or anyone/both of his/her grandparents is (or was) / are (or were) citizen (s) of India under the provisions of the Indian Constitution.
  2. Foreign National: A “Foreign National” (FN) is a person who has the citizenship of a foreign country (citizens of all countries other than India) but does not have the status of “NRI” or “Persons of Indian Origin” (PIO).

Who Is Not Eligible for XAT 2022?

The XAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 establishes the basic prerequisites for applying to the exam. According to XLRI’s XAT Eligibility Criteria, the following candidates are ineligible for the XAT 2022 exam:

  • Graduates with a two-year bachelor’s degree from the 1980s.
  • Candidates that do not pay their registration fees by the deadline.
  • Candidates whose final year of study will not be completed by June 10, 2021
  • Candidates who received their diploma from an unrecognised institution.
