XAT 2027
The XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level exam held each year in the first week of January. XLRI conducts it on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes. XAT scores result in MBA admissions at the country's top business schools, including XLRI, IMT Ghaziabad, XIMB, KJ Somaiya, TAPMI, and others. Apart from the 12 XAMI member institutes, nearly 250+ other major MBA institutions accept XAT scores for their management programs.
XAT 2027 Important Dates
XAT 2027 Important Dates are necessary for MBA candidates to be updated on the exam schedule, application deadlines, and result announcements. XAT is held every year on the first Sunday of January. The complete schedule for the XAT 2027 exam is shown below:

XAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria
The XAT 2027 eligibility criteria provide details on the academic qualifications and basic requirements that candidates must fulfil to apply successfully for the XAT 2027 exam. - Students must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
- The degree should be of at least three years.
- Students in their last year can also apply, as long as they complete their degree by June 2027.
- There are no age limits for XAT.
- Students do not need a specific percentage for graduation.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts.
XAT 2027 Registration & Application Form
The XAT 2027 Registration & Application Form includes complete instructions on how to fill out the form, upload required documents, pay the exam fees, and avoid common mistakes throughout the application process. The XAT application form (expected process based on prior years) has three main steps:
- Register yourself and verify your email address.
- Fill out the online XAT 2027 Application Form and upload the required documents.
- Pay the XAT registration fee and then submit the form.
XAT 2027 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
The XAT 2027 exam pattern is very different from the CAT exam. The XAT exam is divided into two parts with a total duration of 180 minutes (3 hours). Based on the previous year's exam pattern, XAT 2027 Part 1 will be divided into three sections: Decision Making (21 questions), Verbal and Logical Ability (26 questions), and Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (28 questions).
XAT Part 2 comprises 20 General Knowledge (GK) questions to be answered in 10 minutes. Note that GK section scores are not counted while calculating the XAT percentile and are only used for the XLRI Jamshedpur admissions procedure.

XAT 2027 Admit Card
XLRI Jamshedpur will probably issue the XAT 2027 admit card in the third week of December 2026. Applicants will be able to get their admit cards through the official website by entering their login credentials. To download the admit card, students must first log in to the official XAT website. Students must bring a printed copy of their XAT 2027 admit card to the exam center for identification purposes. The admit card will be available for download till the day of the exam.
XAT 2027 Result Date
XAT results will be announced in Mid-January 2027. Immediately after the results are announced, XLRI and other top B-schools begin announcing their cutoff scores based on XAT scores and other factors included in their shortlisting criteria for the final selection process. Students can download their results from the official XAT portal. The cutoff for each institute varies, and the institutes disclose their cutoffs after the XAT results.
