Hi, is it wise to solve only 3 out of 4 RC's? Provided my accuracy is just shy of 60% in VARC.

Try following an approach wherein, instead of solving all questions in RC, try to spot those which are fact based or easier. I struggled with the same problem. But if you observe, you will make out that if we spend around 5 mins in reading RC, we spend almost 4-5 mins in deciding on 1or 2 tuff questions associated and getting them wrong even after spending the time. Instead, try skipping them, and invest your time on VA questions

Forget the Percentile. Just focus on getting as many correct questions as you can, and reduce incorrect attempts.

Q. Find the no. of non negative integral solutions of the eqn- a+b+c =13, where a,b and c are distinct? Ans is 84. Why can't we use the formula 13+3-1 C 3-1 ?

Because a,b,c are distinct. The formula doesn't handle that

Because a,b,c are distinct this formula wont be applicable here as it counts some cases where a,b and c are same too (eg. 3+3+7 is also counted where a and b are non-distinct)

I have observed that there is a virtual calculator available in a CAT Mock. Is this calculator available for all the questions or limited to some questions? I feel, I am able to save a lot of time with calculator. However I am trying to refrain from doing so as some articles suggested. Kindly clarify.

There is a virtual calculator available in CATs, and they will be available in LRDI and Quants sections. Try to familiarize yourself with using the virtual calculator in these few days, since they are quite annoying to use. Refrain from using calculator for fairly simple additions and multiplications. My opinion
