If the lengths of the two parallel sides of a trapezium are 4 cm and 6 cm and its area is 25 cm². Find the distance between its parallel sides (in cm).
Let distance between parallel sides = height of trapezium = $$h$$ cm
=> Sum of lengths of parallel sides = $$4+6=10$$ cm
=> Area of trapezium = $$\frac{1}{2} \times$$ (sum of parallel sides) $$\times$$ height
=> $$\frac{1}{2}\times10\times h=25$$
=> $$h=\frac{25}{5}=5$$ cm
