Question 97

If the circumference of a circle is 44 cm, then what must be its area (in cm²)?

Solution

Let radius of circle = $$r$$ cm

=> Circumference = $$2\pi r=44$$

=> $$2\times\frac{22}{7}\times r=44$$

=> $$r=44\times\frac{7}{44}=7$$ cm

$$\therefore$$ Area of circle = $$\pi r^2$$

= $$\frac{22}{7}\times(7)^2$$

= $$22\times7=154$$ $$cm^2$$

=> Ans - (C)
