Question 60

If p : q is 5 : 6 and q : r is 2 : 5, then what is p : q : r?

Solution

p : q = 5 : 6    Eq.(i)

q : r = 2 : 5

multiply 3 in the above equation.

q : r = $$2\times3 : 5\times3$$ = 6 : 15    Eq.(ii)

So by Eq.(i) and Eq.(ii), p : q : r = 5 : 6 : 15
