The average weight of 13 students and their teacher is 24.5 kg. To the weight of the teacher is 31 kg. then what is the average weight of the 13 students?
Solution
given that the average weight of 13 students and teacher is 24.5kg
i.e; there are 14 people
$$\frac{sum\ of\ weight\ of\ people}{14}$$=24.5
sum of weight of students and teacher =343
but given that weight of teacher is 31 kg
sum of weights of students = 343-31= 312
noe average of 13 students is 312/13
=>24
hence answer is option C
