Rehman goes on a trip on his motor-cycle and rides for 661 kms. If he rides for 8 hours at a speed of 31 km/hr, find at what speed he travels for the remaining 7 hours of the journey?

Solution

Total distance covered = 661 km

He rides for 8 hours at a speed of 31 km/hr

=> Distance covered = $$8 \times 31 = 248$$ km

Distance left = 661 - 248 = 413 km

$$\therefore$$ Speed he should travel for the remaining 7 hours of the journey = $$\frac{413}{7} = 59$$ km/hr

=> Ans - (D)
