Let marks scored by 1st student = $$x$$
=> Marks scored by another student = $$(x + 16)$$
According to question, => $$(x + 16) = \frac{75}{100} \times (x + x + 16)$$
=> $$x + 16 = \frac{3}{2} \times (x + 8)$$
=> $$2x + 32 = 3x + 24$$
=> $$x = 32 - 24 = 8$$
$$\therefore$$ Marks scored by other student = 8 + 16 = 24
